 Gnar first customer to use the 27mm Twist-Off in Turkey
Gnar Turkey, Istanbul, recently started the production of pomegranate juice for the North American market. The head office of the Gnar Juice Company is based in Birmingham, Alabama, USA. Gnar chose Silgan White Cap’s smallest closure diameter 27mm for its 250ml glass bottle to offer the consumer an attractive easy to open and safe to reseal packaging. The product is offered in a convenient carton-made 4-pack.
The Product
Gnar premium pomegranate juice is made only from Mediterranean pomegranates, with nothing else added. The name is taken from the Turkish word for pomegranate, “Nar.?
The pomegranate has been prized since ancient times for its health benefits, but only recently have these benefits begun to be validated by scientific research. Studies suggest that pomegranate juice may have great benefits for the heart and cardiovascular system.
These benefits are believed to be derived from the pomegranate's extremely powerful
class of antioxidants.

Gnar Juice Company’s founders investigated the perfect pomegranate juice on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey in 2006. They successfully launched their product in

The closure
The 27mm RRP is a redesign of the 27mm Regular Twist-Off metal cap. The key feature
is the compound channel, which replaces the full compound. This results in a reduction
of overall product migration due to a decreased compound contact area. There is also
a reduced risk of floating particles.
Silgan White Cap
With 14 plants Silgan White Cap is an international producer of metal, plastic
and composite closures for oxygen sensitive, vacuum packaged and aseptically
packaged food products and still beverages. Its closures are used exclusively
in glass or plastic container applications.
