Göbber GmbH & Co, Eystrup, Germany, seals its 'Gourmet' jam with Silgan
The Product
Göbber Gourmet is characterised by its high fruit content - less sugar and
less sweet. The broad range offers something for every taste: apricot,
strawberry, strawberry-banana, black currant, raspberry, plum, pink
grapefruit, rhubarb-vanilla. The products are highly accepted by the
consumer and have a great appeal: delicious, authentic and particularly
fruity
The Packaging
The 250g glass jar is perfect for small households or people who like to
enjoy several varieties at the same time. Both glass jar and closure have
an aesthetic shape and beautiful colours.
The Closure - Effect instead of Fruit Design
Göbber decided to use the 58mm Twist-Off closure with deep skirt and
button . pops when first opened . . In order to obtain the genuine
metallic effect, all components have to be combined carefully. It is
very difficult and at the same time very important to choose the correct
metal base material and ink transparency. Subsurface and ink have to
match. By using the roll-out-method where an ink print run is applied on
strips of material, Silgan White Cap was able to produce multiple
variations outside of the normal ongoing production. Consequently,
Göbber was simultaneously supplied with several variations to choose from.
