Appendix VIa of the change directive 2007/19/EC demands that “appropriate information on
materials, whose use in food is subjected to restrictions that are based either on experimental
data or on theoretical mathematical calculations of specific migration values …” is to be
made available. This is to warrant that “the user of these materials or items can fulfill the
specific European Union regulations or – in cases where there are none – the national regulations
that are valid for food”.
Any declarations of compliance by Silgan White Cap already
correspond to these future requirements and inform our customers extensively on the
material contents of the compounds concerned and on the results of the migration simulation tests.
