Silgan White Cap’s new Metal Closure Plant in the Philippines

Construction Works nearly finished

Construction works of the new Philippine Metal Closures plant is nearly finished. The façade and outer area are already completed.

“The completion of the interior such as offices, conference rooms and warehouse for raw materials and finished goods are making very good progress. Relocating the office staff is scheduled for mid of September. Our expansion Line 5 Twist-Off closure production line is already installed and ready for commissioning in August while the staged relocation of the four other Twist-Off Lines from the Canlubang plant will start thereafter”, Mr Edwin Seña, General Manager, comments about the challenging project.

End of 2008 is the target for the complete relocation of the existing SWCSEA operations.

This new facility will be the future home of Silgan White Cap Southeast Asia. It is designed to feature sufficient production capacity for Twist-Off and PT metal closures. Space for lithography operations is also provided.

and composite closures for oxygen sensitive, vacuum packaged and aseptically packaged food products and still beverages. Its closures are used exclusively in glass or plastic container applications.
