Vision Inspection System for Plasti-Twist®
Silgan White Cap offers a Vision Inspection System, VIS, which ensures a reliable control of plastic closures applied to plastic bottles.This system recognises defects on the tamperband, tilted closures (cocked caps) as well as closures that are applied too tightly or not tightly enough. An optional filling level control is possible. A detailed picture of each ejected bottle can be stored on the screen. The picture shows the tolerance settings and the actual measuring results, enabling the operator to very easily analyse the fail rate and the type of defect.
For flexible and easy installation, even on existing production lines, the system is split into three parts:
1. The inspection unit, including camera unit and high performance LED-lighting. This part is fixed on the conveyor
with a minimum space requirement of max. 400 mm.
2. The switch cabinet, including the electrical components software based on Windows2000 and a touch screen.
3. The ejector and ejector table to push outcontainers with misapplied closures
