Twist-Off® and PT Closures (Press-On Twist-Off®)
Twist-Off® and PT closures (Press-On Twist-Off®) seal vacuum-packed and aseptically vacuum-packed foods and beverages in glass containers.
Both closures are tamper-proof closures. They are non-breathing and guarantee absolute tightness and maintain the quality of contents
for long periods. Special compounds and lacquers are available to match the various product characteristics and processing conditions. Nothing goes in, nothing comes out, from the moment the container is sealed until it is opened for the first time by the consumer. The Vapour Vacuum® system which seals the
product using the vapour vacuum method provides the guarantee for this. This vacuum is created and controlled by the sealing machine irrespective of filling conditions. When a container is sealed, the Vapour Vacuum® system removes the oxygen almost completely from the head space of the glass
container, substantially reducing vitamin degradation to sustain product quality for a longer period. Apart from these processing advantages, the Vapour Vacuum® system also permits continuous integrity checks of the packaging and vacuum. The checks are carried out automatically by dud detectors after sealing.
Twist-Off® and PT closures permit enhanced offset printing and can convey customer specific messages. Together with the Silgan White Cap sealing machines and auxiliary equipment as well as the extensive range of service support, Twist-Off® and PT closures are ideal for the wide ranging requirements of demanding customers.

Twist-Off® and PT Closures are suitable for the following processing methods, depending on the cap type

Non treatment dry sealing:
Dry sealing by hand, no subsequent treatment or Cap preheating with hot air, sealing with or without steam, no subsequent treatment |

Non treatment filling cold:
Cold fill, product temperature up to 70°C, sealing with steam, no subsequent treatment |

|
Non treatment filling hot:
Hot fill, product temperature above 70°C, sealing with steam, no subsequent treatment, re-cooling |

Pasteurisation without overpressure:
Cold or hot fill, sealing with steam, open bath / spray water / steam pasteurisation up to 98°C, no overriding pressure |

Pasteurisation with overpressure:
Cold or hot fill, sealing with steam, retort pasteurisation up to 105°C, with overriding pressure |
