Silgan White Cap 160
Silgan White Cap 160 is a hand-operated machine for Twist-Off® and PT closures. It is particularly ideal for companies and laboratories with low output rates. Capping rates can be up to 8 jars per minute or approx. 400 jars per hour.
The jars are placed in the machine by hand. The closures are also placed on a centring device by hand where they are held by magnets. By turning the control lever, a cone is lowered over the jar. Steam is injected before sealing. A further turn of the control lever screws or presses the cap on and releases the sealed jar. The machine is then ready for the next capping procedure. The steam condensing in the sealed jar produces a vacuum just as high as in the automatic, more efficient sealing machines.
